"Fortunato No. 4 is the standard by which fine chocolate must be measured."
- Pastry Chef Norman Love

The amount of chocolate we have available for the general public is in limited supply due to demand from pastry chefs and chocolatiers. If you are a chocolate lover, don't hesitate! Get a bar or two today before we run out.

Don't forget that these 1.1 pound bars actually cost less, ounce for ounce, than a mid-level bar from the grocery store.

Each Fortunato No. 4 chocolate bar weighs 1.1 pounds with 5 connected 3.5-ounce bars. Once limited to elite chocolatiers, our organically grown USDA certified Pure Naçional chocolate bars are now available to the public at wholesale prices! Fortunato Chocolate is known for its rich fruit and nutty flavors, floral aroma, smooth texture, and lack of bitterness.

The Pure Naçional trees that grow the cacao have the distinction of being the oldest, rarest, and most sought after in the world. So rare in fact, that they were thought to be extinct by the early 20th century, wiped out by disease. The happenstance discovery in the remote Marañón Canyon of Peru by Dan Pearson and Brian Horsley would eventually lead the founding of Fortunato No. 4 and the reintroduction of the world to this exquisite tasting chocolate.

Love this chocolate!

To be honest I bought Fortunato 68% to snack on! Over the years I have switched to dark chocolate and this is the best yet! I also bought the cacao nibs & have used them in pancakes & brownies so far.
My order came quickly and was not affected by sitting in my SC mailbox for half a day in our warm weather. But I probably won’t order again till fall & cooler weather.

Deliciously Rich Flavor

Our bars were delivered quickly and in great condition. We are loving the strong, rich flavor of the dark chocolate. I have had to ration pieces to my husband or it would all be gone by now. I chop up a bar and put them in two plastic bags so each of us get our fair share during the week! I save the small bits and pieces that break off during cutting to use in oatmeal cookies. I am enjoying the Fortunato emails which give us a connection to our chocolate. I never knew or appreciated how much was involved in making chocolate.

Well-conched (super-smooth) and unique chocolate

I first encountered Fortunato #4 several years ago from a specialty chocolate store in Oregon (which sold Fortunato-covered Fortunato Cacao beans). It's been hard to find, and these bars are of excellent quality and value. Yum.
Unfortunately, since I live in Florida, I can only order these chocolate bars in "winter" (temperatures in the 70s). Don't worry - I also bought the Fortunato #4 Cacao Nibs and will continue to order nibs year-round.
Nice to have an *ethical* cacao supplier that ensures the farmers capture more of the value.

So So Good

Best chocolate ever, and a real bargain for the price. If real quality chocolate makes you happy, Fortunato chocolate will make you crazy happy.

Love this chocolate!

This is the best tasting creamy 68% dark chocolate option that is delightful and not too sweet! Organically grown with its bold flavor, makes beautiful chocolate covered strawberries. It also blends well in cooking or in homemade trail mix for a snack. This dark chocolate flavor goes a long way in satisfaction. Enjoy!
