Our 100% money back guarantee does not apply to heat damaged chocolate in the following states: Arizona, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Mississippi, Nevada, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. If your state is not listed our full satisfaction guarantee is in
effect. For environmental reasons, we no longer use thermally protective packaging. Thermal packaging requires paper, plastic, metallic bubble wrap, and plastic/chemical gel packs, which end up in landfills and are not biodegradable. We refuse to do that to the planet. We use UPS shipping as we've found it's a reliable shipping service, and we'll always package your order to avoid breakage. We utilize ground shipping to control costs, so delivery time depends on your proximity to Seattle, WA (average of 2-5 days). But if the products melt or are otherwise heat damaged in transit, we can’t offer replacement or refunds. Please consider carefully before ordering -- by placing your order, you consent and assume all risk for heat damaged products. Typically, we recommend shipping when temps at the receiving location are under 76F to avoid potential heat damage. Thank you for understanding and honoring our commitment to the environment.

Please double check the delivery address you enter for your chocolate order. We are experiencing a significant increase in address correction requests after the chocolate has shipped.

Fortunato Quinoa & Chia Crunch 47% Dark Milk Chocolate Bar

We're using our 47% dark milk chocolate for this one. In the future, we may offer a dark chocolate version as well.

But in the name of full disclosure, I have to tell you frankly that this bar is more delicious with the 47% dark milk chocolate.

In general, our goal is to go for products that are as delicious as they can be, while still using high quality ingredients.

Our cacao is organically grown, and we are using organic quinoa and chia seeds as well.

We've been dancing around a product like this for a while, but the hang up has always been a good, reliable source of toasted organic quinoa.

One of our favorite distributors solved that for us and that gave us access to all the necessary ingredients to make this lovely bar a reality.

To imagine what this bar is like, start by thinking of a Nestle Crunch bar. That is the texture.

You get that beautiful crunch from the toasted quinoa and Javier doesn't pack it in lightly. There is a lot of quinoa in there.

In all humility, I do believe that our 47% dark milk chocolate is far superior to the milk chocolate used in the Nestle Crunch bar.

Also, quinoa has such a rich, creamy, earthy flavor in its own right, and that beats out the flavorless, sugary, rice puffs used by the crunch bar.

If it was just chocolate and quinoa on its own, this would be a great product.

However, our chocolatier Javier did not stop there.

He added chia. This struck me as interesting.

Of course, it is on theme, because both the chia and the quinoa are Peruvian products.

This gives us Peruvian cacao, Peruvian chia, and Peruvian quinoa all in one place. There is good continuity to it.

But how would the chia taste?

Honestly, at least to my mind, the chia is a stroke of genius. To me, the chia tastes of herbs, like a chamomile.

I've always loved herbs in chocolate. The combination is so soothing and comforting.

I like the small hard texture of chia too.

Chia in chocolate. Who knew?

Altogether, you have a very Peruvian themed product.

You get the rich and creamy, but still very cacao forward milk chocolate with the 47% dark milk, then you get the earthy toast from the quinoa, and then the herbal from the chia.

As always, we try hard to keep our products very affordable when compared to products of lesser quality that you might buy from the grocery store.

We buy cacao direct from about 500 small cacao farm families in northern Peru.

We pay around 10 times the price premiums required by FairTrade.

We've been doing that voluntarily for a very, very long time now, around 15 years.

The reason we can do that while still offering fair prices is because we cut out middlemen.

We buy cacao direct, make our own products, and sell direct.

Our products are not available in any shops but our own, and we don't work through any distributors.

This allows us to cut out middlemen and pass along the savings.

The Quinoa & Chia crunch bar comes with two, three-ounce bars in a single package.

The price is $9.99.

As always, we offer a 100% money back guarantee on all of our products.

We do not guarantee that your chocolate won't show up melted though, especially as the weather gets hotter in some places.

But if you try the product and simply don't like it, we'll give you your money back, no questions asked.

All of our products come with a 100% unconditional, no questions asked, money back guarantee. If you are unhappy for any reason, just send us an email and ask for a full refund.

Fortunato Chocolate is known for its rich fruit and nutty flavors, floral aroma, smooth texture, and lack of bitterness.

The Pure Naçional trees that grow the cacao used in our chocolate have the distinction of being the oldest, rarest, and most sought after in the world. So rare in fact, that they were thought to be extinct by the early 20th century, wiped out by disease. The happenstance discovery in a remote valley of the northern Peruvian jungle by Dan Pearson and Brian Horsley would eventually lead the founding of Fortunato No. 4 and the reintroduction of the world to this exquisite tasting chocolate.

All of our confections are made by hand in our chocolate kitchen in Issaquah, WA.

The amount of chocolate we have available for the general public is in limited supply due to demand from pastry chefs and chocolatiers. If you are a chocolate lover, don't hesitate!

The best crunch bar

This is like a crunch bar for the elite lol. The perfect balance of puffed quinoa and chocolate, the chia seeds make for a divine flavor. Nutty and earthy, but still light enough that it’s not a heavy chocolate snack. Comes with 2 bars, it’s a lot of chocolate for the $. Was so so happy with this and glad I purchased 2 as the weather is heating up around here and I was stocking up for the summer. Perfect snack will definitely be repurchasing when it cools down again. Thanks for hand making these snacks the care put into them is evident in every bite.

This is good stuff!

I am not much is a nestles crunch bar person, but because I adore Fortunato chocolate so much I figured I'd try it.
It is delicious, just like all of the products they make that I've tried. I love the flavors of the quinoa and chia. Especially the chia in the chocolate. Now I just hope they make turtle bites. Then my life will be complete.
